But rest assured that offensively confident players will also find utility for its reasonable control and consistency. Built with two carbon layers, this blade can generate increased amounts of speed, while its 5 wood layers preserve a player’s short game feel. Our testing team had a blast pushing the speed of this blade to its limits and highly recommended pairing the Red Widow with a hard sponge rubber in order to get the most out of your game.

Rubber Summary
Think SPEED when you think Dark Velocity. The rubber and hard sponge were developed to not only increase the velocity of your own shots, but also to use the spin and speed of your opponent’s shots against them. Players who look to Block deep and aggressively finish rallies will relish this extremely offensive rubber. Backhand Flicks fly off the rubber at an incredible pace and chops are exceptionally manageable considering the offensive makeup of this rubber. The hard sponge and rubber combo also help produce increased accuracy for flat hits, even when your opponent is playing with increased speed and spin.
Remember, the harder you hit with Dark Velocity the more spin its hard sponge/rubber combination will generate for you!

I enjoyed using this paddle. It’s a little heavy for my taste but I was still consistent in my ball placement and still felt nice to play with.

The blade on this paddle is extremely fast. The rubber is pretty quick too. There was definitely a learning curve for me but I am loving it.
